When 9/11, September 11th 2001, “hit” America, there was an alarm and siren that went out that was more than a “911” call to the firemen, police, first-responders, EMTs, military and others. It was a shock to the country and an awakening to some, that something spiritually significant had occurred. Not only was it apparent that God had, for that moment, removed his sovereign hand of protection, but the unforeseen and unimaginable blow revealed a weakness and vulnerability which was spiritual at its core. The pride of the nation whose majority was increasingly turning away from God and a biblical world-view, and the weakened state of the Church, were surely at its root.
I remember how the Lord spoke to me from Isaiah 30:25, “Streams flowing with water will be on every high mountain and every raised hill on the day of great slaughter when the towers fall.”, that is, how the Lord’s spiritual provision in the midst of calamity and the promise of renewal, would be present in that very same day.
But the call was not just for a “return to the Lord” for a nation that had fallen away, but a call to “spiritual arms” for all Christians therein to “seekfirst the Kingdom of God” and respond to what I believe is the nation’s true manifest destiny, spiritual in nature, which is to be a nation of evangelists who proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the peoples of the world.
Though divided, the Church would need to be re-trained and equipped to become the spiritual force for good it is called to be through: intense prayer, sincere discipleship, passionate evangelism, and prophetic undertakings in the Name of Christ Jesus.
Kingdom911 is such a call!
As for me, I am a servant of the Lord, an associate pastor and married priest in the International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church, living in New York, who is engaged in multiple ways to hopefully answer the call and help lead others into responding to it as well. I have seen the how the weak and divided condition of the Church, at least in America, has left an opening for evil to grow and prosper throughout, and have witnessed the destructive affect on individuals, families, and nation. I hope and pray that you will find this site edifying to your mind, encouraging to your heart, and uplifting to your soul. May the Lord give you insight and revelation and inspire you through faith in Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to be a glorifying and profitable servant of the Most High God and His Son Jesus Christ.
Through this venue, I am sharing many of my thoughts and learnings, aspirations and actions, as I believe the Lord is leading me to do so, to God be the glory. By His grace and through faith, I am what I am, in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Praise the Lord Jesus and Welcome to Kingdom911
P.S. Much of what I post here, I also hope to replicate through Facebook and Twitter and others, in case you find those social-media applications more usable. Thank you for visiting this site.
